Self-Employment Support Program

We are thrilled to continue the Self-Employment Support Program in 2026 at AUSMCC, building on its ongoing success. This program empowers refugees and asylum seekers by providing the resources, skills, and support needed to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. It remains focused on community members—including those with disabilities—who aspire to achieve self-sufficiency through self-employment.

Program Aims

1. Skill Development
   Workshops and seminars equip participants with essential skills in business planning, marketing, and financial management.

2. Networking Opportunities
   Events connect participants with local entrepreneurs, mentors, and business leaders, fostering collaboration and valuable professional networks.

3. Culinary and Cultural Celebrations
   Cultural events, including community feasts, showcase participants’ culinary talents and celebrate the diversity of our community.

4. Ongoing Support
   Continuous mentorship and guidance help participants navigate the challenges of starting and maintaining their businesses.
