Event Summary

We are proud to reflect on six months of meaningful impact through our Anti-Racism Initiative, which has brought together community members, local organisations, service providers, and community leaders to promote inclusion, strengthen social connections, and encourage important conversations about diversity, equality, and belonging.

Over the past six months, the initiative has created safe and welcoming spaces for people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to share their experiences, learn about their rights, and engage in open dialogue about racism, discrimination, and community wellbeing. Through community engagement activities, information sessions, workshops, and collaborative events, participants have been empowered to build stronger relationships, increase cultural understanding, and support one another in creating a more inclusive society.

The initiative has also strengthened partnerships between community organisations and local services, helping improve access to support for individuals and families experiencing social isolation, discrimination, or barriers to participation. By working together, we continue to promote respect, understanding, and equal opportunities for everyone in our community.

The Australian Multicultural Community Centre Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the Victorian Government for funding and supporting this important project.

We would also like to thank Hume City Council and Northern Community Legal Centre for their generous support, partnership, and ongoing commitment to building stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities.

Their continued support has enabled us to deliver community-led programs that foster social cohesion, celebrate multiculturalism, and empower individuals to actively participate in community life. Together, we remain committed to creating a future where diversity is celebrated, every voice is valued, and all community members feel respected, safe, and connected.

As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to continuing this important work by creating opportunities for education, collaboration, and community engagement that strengthen understanding and reduce the impacts of racism and discrimination. Through collective action and strong partnerships, we can continue building communities where everyone feels a sense of belonging and has equal opportunities to thrive.
