Small Business Setup Fundamentals

On November 14, 2024, AMCCL proudly hosted a workshop aimed at equipping asylum seekers, refugees, and newly arrived community members from Gaza with essential small business setup fundamentals. The event proved to be a remarkable success, fostering an environment of support and empowerment for those eager to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

We were honored to have Ms. Maria Vamvakinou, the Federal Labor Member for Calwell, as our keynote speaker. She provided invaluable insights into the role of Australian immigration and refugee policies in shaping the economy, while also encouraging participants to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to success and integration.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to the Hume Economic Development team for their active participation and unwavering support, as well as to Homslegen TAFE  and the Meri health team. We also extend our gratitude to all the service providers who engaged in the workshop, contributing their expertise and resources to enrich the experience for our attendees.

Together, we are building a supportive community that empowers newcomers to thrive and establish their own businesses. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this event a milestone for our community!
